Pair of enamelled glass vases signed JEM – Winter landscape – Early 20th century. Of slender form, they feature a remarkable decoration of a winter landscape rendered in warm amber and orange tones: large bare trees in the foreground, a snowy landscape and houses in the background. The decoration is finely crafted in enamel, with numerous graphic details adding depth and relief to the composition. The JEM signature is traditionally associated with Joseph Mure, a glassmaker-decorator active in the early 20th century, whose works are often compared to the École de Nancy and the glassworks of François-Théodore Legras. Dimensions: Height: 24 cm. Diameter at the neck: approximately 8 cm. Condition: very good overall condition considering the age, with no chips or cracks.
