We are delighted to offer this superb writing table in flamed walnut from the Renaissance style around 1850, inspired by Pugin. This table provides ample legroom and its design is inspired by the architecture of the House of Commons at the Palace of Westminster. The wood is sublime and appears warm and rich under all lighting. The condition is good for its period; the table has been cleaned, waxed, and polished from top to bottom. There are some signs of patina on the top, as expected, but it is in very good overall condition. Dimensions: height: 76.5 cm, width: 122 cm, depth: 60 cm, height under the table: 63.5 cm. All measurements are taken at the widest point. The period elements, particularly in leather, show natural patina with creases and signs of wear. It is advisable to wax annually to prevent moisture loss. The hand-dyed leather should not be exposed to prolonged direct sunlight as this can dry it out and cause discolouration.
