This chair comes from the prestigious Lacoste estate, along with half a dozen other pieces of furniture that I am selling at the same time. This couple of intellectuals furnished their home at La Boutique Danoise (Avenue de Friedland, on the Champs Elysées) in the 1960s with exceptional Scandinavian furniture in which they lived their entire lives. Scandinavian chair model 316 in solid teak. Designed by Peter Hvdit for Soborg Mobelfabrik in the 1950s. An exceptional piece of furniture with impressive finishes. The backrest is curved backwards, and the two wooden parts are joined by visible mortises - the effect is very elegant. The stretchers between the solid teak legs form pure and sharp angles that give the chair a lot of character, both from the front and in profile. The cord is slightly loose but original, which is quite rare for these pieces! Moreover, it is completely viable as it is, with no missing parts or cuts. Some usual signs of wear but the piece is solid, stable, and in very good overall condition. L: 48 cm. D: 56 cm. H: 77 cm. Seat height: 44 cm. My prices are firm, thank you. Delivery possible in the Île-de-France for 40 euros.
