Wonderful dutch painting, oil on canvas, dated 1940, and signed by c. Vesters, representing the virgin mary with baby jesus in her arms. There are many reasons why I adore this painting, but if I have to choose one, I prefer the way the virgin is looking at her son, it is the look of a mother who shows a mixture of unconditional love with the sadness of being able to guess his future. It shows the most human side of maria. It needs restauration, it has breaks with basic repairs. 80cmx61cm.
