Old Alsatian sandstone jar - Betschdorf

Hello, Here is an old Alsatian stoneware jar, dating from the beginning of the 20th century. Salt was applied to the pottery before firing at 1250°, in order to obtain the desired pattern in this very pretty shade of cobalt blue typical of Betschdorf pottery. In a beautiful state of preservation, it has a small dent on its neck, visible in the photographs, as well as a hole, nicely pierced at the back... Contrary to the mystery of its existence.
