Beautiful Charles X period chest of drawers, made of warm-toned maple and very decorative, highlighted by blackened wood framing (ebonisation). It opens at the front with: 1 belt drawer. 3 large drawers. Sober yet elegant ornamentation with: Original lock entries. Sculpted side handles. Typical period framing. Original grey veined marble top, adding a classic bourgeois touch. The proportions are harmonious and typical of Restoration furniture. Dimensions: H 101 X W 128 X D 62 cm. Condition. Good overall condition. Generally well preserved. Some minor wear / normal marks. Interior in good condition. Locks + keys present. Period 1820 (authentic) Very beautiful well-defined burl.
