Technical sheet. * Period / Style: German Biedermeier (classical period), 1820-1830. Origin: Germany (Rhineland / Westphalia). * Materials: Thick veneer of European birch (obłóg) with a shimmering and highly decorative grain. Internal structure, back and linings in solid pine and oak. Drawers assembled with dovetail joints. * Hardware: Original diamond-shaped ebonised (black) lock entries. Supplied with three fitted brass keys. * Finish: Traditional hand-applied shellac polish, high gloss finish (mirror polished). Restored original light blonde tint. * Dimensions: Width 130.5 cm|Height 92 cm|Depth 64.5 cm. * Layout: 4 drawers in total (one shallow top drawer and three large deep drawers below). Description and condition. Large Biedermeier chest of drawers from the early 19th century featuring a rigorous, sober, and architectural structure. The façade is flanked by two detached full columns with ebonised black bases and capitals. The robust block feet echo the same black motif at their base. The aesthetic of the piece relies entirely on symmetry and the natural beauty of the birch's grain. The item has undergone a complete and thorough restoration in cabinetmaking and shellac finish. The structure is sound, robust, and perfectly stable. The drawers fit ideally in their slots and glide smoothly. The finish offers a deep and impeccable mirror-like shine. Not used since its restoration, ready for immediate installation.
