Important and very decorative Chinese bench made of carved and openwork exotic wood. The spectacular backrest is entirely worked with scrolls, foliage, and floral motifs, organised around three medallions. The large central panel, framed by two oval medallions, features a delicate floral decoration inlaid with mother-of-pearl, depicting floral bouquets. The upper part of the backrest presents a rich openwork crest with flowing lines. The carved armrests harmoniously extend the decoration. The wide seat consists of a solid wood panel framed, while the belt is adorned with a floral decoration carved in slight relief. The whole rests on four curved legs and showcases a beautiful warm hue as well as a finish that particularly highlights the sculpture. A bench of great decorative presence, ideal for a classic interior or an Asian art collection.
