Rosewood writing desk display cabinet, featuring two glass doors adorned with delicate carved scrolls in the upper section and a functional lock with key. The whole is crowned by a molded cornice highlighted by an elegant gadrooned frieze. The lower, projecting section of this two-part cabinet conceals an ingenious sliding compartment at the top revealing a writing desk covered in new black leather, enhanced with a gold vignette and a refined central motif. On either side, slender balusters frame this space, and at the bottom are three small drawers and a spacious storage niche. Finally, two solid, lockable doors reveal, when opened, three large sliding drawers. This piece of furniture, with its compact dimensions and meticulous craftsmanship, is as appealing for its functionality as for the beauty of its rosewood tones.
