Charming small work table (also called a sewing table) in Louis XVI style, dating from the late 19th century (Napoleon III period). This accent piece is made of rosewood veneer, enhanced with delicate light wood marquetry (lemon tree) forming graceful floral decorations and scrolls. The structure is accented with brass rings and rods. Its hinged top lifts to reveal a mirror on the underside (slightly spotted, which attests to its authenticity) as well as a compartmented interior box, originally ideal for storing sewing supplies.
