Overview. Set of 2 1930s Art Deco lounge chairs attributed to Jindřich Halabala and produced by UP Závody. Striking high-contrast appearance: black-lacquered frames with light cream cushions. Design. Sculptural, sweeping bent-beech frames form an S-shaped profile with integrated arm supports. Angled, cantilever-like legs create a bold, graphic silhouette typical of interwar modernist furniture. Materials. Solid beech frames finished in black lacquer. Removable cream textile seat and back cushions for a clean, understated contrast. Dimensions. Single chair dimensions: width 61 cm; depth 72 cm; height 77 cm. Seat height: 38 cm. Provenance. Manufactured in the Czech Republic, production dated to the 1930s; design period 1920–1949. Piece is presented with an attribution to Jindřich Halabala for UP Závody.
