Art Deco solid oak fireplace mantel. Found in a barn this autumn in the Champagne region, this beautiful piece will undoubtedly warrant a complete restoration in due course. In the meantime, it could, in my opinion, be the centerpiece of your Christmas decorations. Signs of age and storage conditions: stains, dents, oxidation, watermarks (nothing that would prevent restoration: everything can be repaired, as the structure is sound).
