Very beautiful painting, marine, landscape of cliffs, oil on old wood, signed Ruben at the bottom left - Paul RUBEN (1882-1955) - framed in a very beautiful frame with wide raw light wood mouldings, chic. Magnificent colours enhanced with turquoise, very bright painting. Panel alone 46x33cm landscape format, with frame 55x43cm total, thickness 4cm. Very good overall condition, however the painting shows fine cracks in the oil across the entire surface due to the wood's movement, particularly some small spots at the top left, visible wood in certain areas, wear or original, a very discreet small hole at the top centre probably from an old attachment, frame very clean with slight wood work in the corners, large hook for hanging at the back. Harmonious ensemble. It could be one of the artist's earliest works, as the P in the signature is not present, possibly from the 1920s-1930s. Approximately 1.5-2kg.
