Anglo-Indian revolving library table, decorated, 1880.

We are delighted to offer for sale this extremely rare and highly collectible antique Anglo-Indian revolving library table, dating from around 1880. Entirely hand-carved in an ornate manner, it features artistic legs and a finely worked top, with carvings even on the inside that are only visible when the books are removed. This piece was likely commissioned without regard for expense for a dignitary or high-ranking military officer. The condition is excellent, having been cleaned, waxed, and polished, with slight signs of age and use that attest to its authenticity. Dimensions taken at the widest point: height 99 cm, width 54 cm, depth 54 cm.
