Model 685 ‘Elmetto’ Table Lamp In White Abs By Elio Martinelli For Martinelli Luce, Italy 1970S

Model 685 ‘elmetto’ table lamp designed by elio martinelli for martinelli luce, italy, 1976. Named after the italian word for helmet, this iconic lamp combines a playful space age appearance with the functional clarity characteristic of martinelli’s work. The sculptural white abs body consists of a truncated conical base and a distinctive dome-shaped reflector. The reflector can be tilted by hand, allowing the direction and intensity of the light to be adjusted while partially shielding the light source. A contrasting black switch is neatly integrated into the central body. A highly recognisable classic of 1970s italian lighting design, appreciated for its compact proportions and strong sculptural presence. The lamp is in good vintage condition, with surface marks and signs of use consistent with its age.
