Pair of very large trumeau mirrors / neoclassical – 19th century

Important pair of trumeau mirrors in neoclassical style, richly decorated, mid-19th century in the Louis XVI taste. The carved and moulded wooden frames are enhanced with cream polychromy and gilding, featuring abundant decoration of scrolls, rosettes, acanthus leaves, and shells on the arched pediments. Each mirror is framed by uprights adorned with relief sculpted motifs, giving a beautiful verticality to the whole. The bases are covered with a plain tapestry in accordance with the colours of the ensemble. Dimensions (per piece): Height 234 cm, Width 126 cm, Depth 11 cm.
