Cane bistro armchair N°14, by Hofmann 1895, Art Nouveau.

Rare and original armchair n°14 by Josef Hofmann, factory in Bielitz (Austria), circa 1895. The shape of this n° 14 is remarkable for the curves of the backrest and the simple curves of the armrests. There were two sizes of armchair available from each manufacturer, one large, almost presidential, and a smaller and much better proportioned model called a "lady's armchair". Here is a copy in perfect condition. Label and stamp under the seat; seat height: 46.5 cm total height: 89 cm - seat: 44x43 - ht. width: 53 cm.
