Vintage wooden box with straw marquetry and mother-of-pearl decoration.

This charming box is made of wood adorned with a beautiful straw marquetry. The box is decorated with mother-of-pearl elements. The marquetry is precise and uses tiny strands to form stars of different shades. This box measures approximately 8.5 X 12 X 4.5 cm in height. I note signs of use and a discolouration of the wood. There are two missing pieces in the marquetry and stains inside the box.
