Vintage Zanotta Sciangai Adjustable Clothes Stand with Frame in Black Ash, 1973

Vintage design by Jonathan De Pas (1932-1991), Donato D'Urbino (1935), and Paolo Lomazzi (1936). The Sciangai model coat hanger was designed for Zanotta, Milan, in 1973. It is one of the most iconic coat hangers in the history of Italian and international design. This refined and playful piece takes its name from the classic game "Shanghai." Made from natural beech wood, it won the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award in 1979. This piece is in very good vintage condition, showing slight traces of use consistent with age.
