Aperitif plate / Tripod bowl in ceramic – Vallauris – Vintage

Splendid and very original serving dish or compartment bowl in vintage ceramic, bearing the iconic Vallauris mark embossed under its base. This dish consists of three textured leaf-shaped bowls, adorned in their centre with a superb relief pattern imitating the veins of a leaf. The heart of the dish is beautifully decorated with a yellow lemon in relief topped with a glazed green leaf, serving as a central handle. The piece is distinguished by its typical glazing from the artistic production of Vallauris in the 50s/60s: a play of contrasting drips combining a deep, shiny brown, touches of bright red, and a textured white froth effect. Perfect on a summer terrace table, to present olives, tapas, or condiments during an aperitif, or simply placed as a retro and fruity decorative object in the centre of the table. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The glazing retains all its original shine and vibrant colours. No major chips, cracks, or hairlines to report on the bowls. There is simply a micro-chip or superficial glaze skip under one of the tripod feet, completely invisible once the dish is placed down and in no way affecting the stability of the piece.
