Vintage Vallauris A.M. plate – quadrilobed enamelled bowl with lemon – 50s

Magnificent decorative dish marked “Vallauris A.M.” on the reverse, a particularly spectacular vintage piece due to its shape, colours, and glazing. It features a quadrilobed shape with a central handle in the form of a lemon, characteristic of certain productions from the Syndicat des Artisans Potiers (SAP) of Vallauris. The dish adopts a lovely floral shape with four lobes and showcases a very rich decoration, crafted in a superb palette of fuchsia pink, emerald green, turquoise, yellow, orange, white, and chocolate brown. The glazes create beautiful effects of drips, marbling, and texture, typical of Vallauris ceramics from this period. At the centre, a raised yellow lemon adds a sunny and whimsical touch to the whole piece. A very decorative item, in the spirit of the French Riviera / 50s-60s, that works well as a centrepiece or as a decorative object on a console, coffee table, or shelf. In very good vintage condition. To be noted transparently: a small chip of glaze less than 1 cm on one edge, previously repaired, now almost invisible. A few small bubbles in the glaze, related to the manufacturing process and mainly visible up close.
