Beautiful mid century modern glazed ceramic bowl/catchall from vallauris (france, 1960s/1970s). Hand painted in an expressive and vibrant mid-century modern french riviera style (vallauris is a village on the french riviera close to cannes, also known as the 'city of 100 potters'). The attractive colours used (red/orange, brown and white) in the glazing are particular of the style and designs of vallauris ceramics. Perfectly works as a centerpiece, a bowl or as a vide-poche/catchall or just for decorative use. Would make a beautiful addition to any mid-century home. Width: 23 cm; depth: 18 cm; height: 6 cm. Very good vintage condition. No chips, no cracks. Some barely visible minor surface scratches.
