A postmodernist vase from the 1970s, produced at HSG Tarnowiec in Poland, made of semi-transparent glass in an intense, uniform red with a subtle orange undertone. The finish is glossy, and the proportions are harmonious: a slender cylindrical neck smoothly connects to a rounded, expanded body and a stable, slightly flared base. The piece is free of decorative motifs or other colours, highlighting the purity of form and the quality of glass craftsmanship. The uniform, smooth texture and absence of cracks, scratches, or visible restoration marks are notable; the glass structure is consistent and polished to a high gloss. The monolithic construction, without joints, attests to experienced glassmaking. The condition is very good – no signs of wear, damage, or intervention are observed. In this sculptural silhouette, one can hear the voice of the 1970s: an era when postmodernism began to play with colour, light, and simplicity of form. The vivid colour of the glass and thoughtful geometry require no additional decoration – the shape itself tells a story of a time of joyful experimentation, seeking freshness, and bold design solutions. The vase – as if it captured light in a glass drop – may evoke memories of old shop windows and modern interiors, where objects had both functional and purely decorative roles. In a living room, it can be combined with other pieces of art glass or contemporary sculptures, creating a minimalist composition on a console or low table. It works well in mid-century modern arrangements with a light background and wooden accents, as well as in relaxed, eclectic collector's compositions – just surround it with light textiles or metallic accessories to bring out its intense, warm shade. It can accompany both fine ceramics and a single flower of graphic simplicity.
