Daybed by René Jean Caillette, Charron Edition circa 1952

Elegant daybed by French designer René Jean Caillette, one of the best model creators of the 1950s, at the origin of several very influential designer groups (the Saint Honoré group, Group 4, and ACMS). The dark-stained ash frame was designed to be easily stored, with its folding headboard and legs. The bed base has been replaced, and the mattress and logs have been refurbished with a Nobilis wool sheet. Accommodates an 80x190 mattress. Manufacturer: Groupe IV Charron, circa 1950, France.
