Unique artistic desk and chair. The frame is made of steel and wrought iron in various shapes and sizes. Painted in several different colours. The glass top rests on four wooden globes. The structure of the chairs is also made from steel and bent metal rods. The seat is made of curved plywood. A unique handmade set from Germany in the 1980s. Desk base: desk top 100x55cm. 127x76cm h. Chaise longue 75 cm: w. 50 cm d. 58 cm h. 90cm seat. 46 cm designed in the style of Gaetano Pesce and Ettore Sottsass of the Memphis Group, Italy. The Memphis Group, also known as Memphis Milano, was an Italian design and architecture group founded by Ettore Sottsass. It was active from 1980 to 1987. The group designed postmodern furniture, lighting, fabrics, rugs, ceramics, and glass and metal objects.
