Kitchen table and chairs set by André Sornay, Lyon 1955

A rare kitchen set comprising a table and four chairs by André Sornay, a Lyon-based cabinetmaker and designer, made around 1955. Each piece features a black lacquered tubular metal frame, a light laminate top and seat with exposed edges, and bright orange-red lacquered backrests. This set reflects Sornay's pursuit of durability and clean lines, consistent with his rational approach to 1950s design.
