Elegant Virgin and Child in Italian glazed ceramic, made around 1955-1970. This sculpture stands out for its very pure design, where the Virgin's veil delicately envelops the Child in a composition full of softness. The glossy ivory glaze is enhanced by fine gold leaf applied by hand, while the faces exhibit a delicate modelling characteristic of fine Italian productions from the mid-20th century. The sculpture is hollow, rests on its original felt, and bears a moulded monogram under the base. A refined decorative piece that will fit well in both a contemporary interior and a collection of religious art or Italian ceramics. Dimensions. * Height: 11.5 cm. * Width: 8 cm. Condition. Very good state of preservation. No chips, no cracks, no restoration.
