Art Nouveau/Deco lamp, bronze, glass paste by Muller Frères Lunéville, c. 1920
Elegant French table lamp from the 1920s, emblematic of late Art Nouveau production. The sculptural patinated bronze base features a naturalistic decor of finely modelled laurel branches, resting on a finely crafted openwork base. The soft, organic lines perfectly convey the characteristic plant aesthetic of the era. It is topped with a glass dome signed by Muller Frères Lunéville, decorated with a polychrome cloud pattern in shades of blue, white, and touches of green and ochre. The light diffusion is soft and warm, highlighting the chromatic richness of the glass. The dome has a very slight chip on the edge, discreet and without impact on the overall aesthetics or the solidity of the piece. Signature: Muller Frères Lunéville. Origin: France. Period: circa 1920. Materials: patinated bronze and glass. Condition: very good overall condition. Electricity: completely refurbished. Dimensions: • Height: 36 cm. • Diameter of the dome: 15 cm. A decorative piece of high quality, ideal for a refined interior, illustrating the craftsmanship of the Müller glassmakers and the excellence of French bronzework from the early 20th century.
