Sumptuous oak flap filing cabinet from the 1930s/40s. These pieces of furniture equipped French administrations for decades: the Post Office, schools... This one comes from a school in the Paris region and was saved from destruction many years ago. The serial number is still engraved at the top right on the plinth: 6-6137. It opens with 16 flaps (8 per column) that lift thanks to the small brass pull handle. Once raised, the front pushes back into the cabinet, pivoting on cast iron hinges, and holds itself up. Each door comes with its original brass label holder. It is in its original patina and in particularly satisfactory condition. The sides are solid and also in excellent condition. It is worth noting that these compartments are still perfectly suited to our modern documents (files or binders...) and remain fully functional for storing our everyday papers. The format being "elongated", the cabinet is not very deep, making it both practical and quite elegant. H: 189 cm. W: 97 cm. D: 31.5 cm. Interior compartment: 45 X 28 X 15 cm. The price is firm, thank you. Delivery in the Île-de-France region and directly to your door for 40 euros only.
