Very pretty cup and saucer in mostly chocolate-colored enameled ceramic, decorated with very beautiful patterns (ecru, black, beige and blue). These patterns are typical of trojan ceramics (sometimes written trojan, troyan...), a region of the balkans (bulgaria today). Each artist had their own motif which served as their signature. This decoration therefore seems to have been made by the same craftsman, artist I should say, as the candlestick that I also offer here. You will tell me, yes very pretty but what to do with a cup by itself. And why not at the office to put an end to coffee in disposable cups; ) and what's more, it won't go unnoticed! Another idea for a lonely cup. Make it into a soap dish! All you have to do is put in the small green plastic basket (we will break the long stem first) that we find in the pickle jars, and the soap will not bathe in the water. This set probably dates from the 60s or 70s but the production of this type of ceramic, considered true bulgarian ceramic, continues today. Today, the pieces produced are often in brighter colors, but still with these very beautiful patterns. These ceramics, often utilitarian (especially culinary), not just decorative, are still used in most families. This set is in very good condition, with just a microscopic chip on the rim of the cup. The cup measures 6cm in height and 9cm in diameter, the saucer measures 13cm in diameter. I offer other trojan ceramics in my store, click on “view the store” to find them, and do not hesitate to contact me before ordering if you wish to order several items to negotiate the price or for me to adjust the delivery costs in case of grouped shipment.
