Rare wall storage cabinet designed by Florence Knoll for Knoll Associates, Model 123 W-1, dating from 1947. This piece features a beautifully proportioned walnut frame associated with original white Formica doors and elegant leather and brass handles. The interior includes adjustable shelves and open storage, reflecting Florence Knoll's emphasis on clarity, function, and architectural balance. Produced in the early post-war period, this piece illustrates Knoll's transition from Bauhaus principles to a distinctly modern American design language. The cabinet can be wall-mounted or, when paired with another example, aligned at equal height to create a long and low buffet installation. The walnut shows a warm, uniform patina with only minimal signs of age. The doors show very light wear consistent with careful use. Overall, the cabinet is in very good condition, with slight surface wear corresponding to its age. Please refer to the photographs for more details.
