Venetian scriban secretary in Louis XV style, inlaid with walnut – 19th century. Elegant scriban secretary in walnut and fruitwood marquetry, opening with a drop front and topped with a body featuring two glazed doors. The decoration is richly adorned with marquetry in scrolls and arabesques across the entire façade, typical of the Louis XV style. The three lower drawers have curved fronts and are fitted with bronze handles and keyholes. The drop front reveals a compartmentalised interior, designed for writing and storage. The upper part is equipped with two doors featuring antique mercury mirrors, showcasing a beautiful patina and characteristic alterations. The curved pediment is enhanced with sculpted and inlaid decoration, highlighting the elegance of the piece. Period: 19th century. Condition: Good overall condition. Wear and restorations consistent with use, minor losses and normal alterations due to age. Antique mirrors with spots. A very beautiful collector's piece, with a strong decorative presence.
