This fascinating wall poster features life-size drawings of two vines, a pineapple, and an agave, making it ideal for decorating a culinary or botanical environment! Printed on canvas, it was part of a series of educational botanical posters published in Germany between 1876 and 1899 by the publishing house Friedrich Vieweg & Sohn in Braunschweig. This is the first poster from the first edition, accompanied by the explanatory text "Ausländische Culturpflanzen in bunten Wand-Tafeln" written by Hermann Zippel and illustrated by Karl Bollmann. The title and text contain old spellings, dating back to before the spelling reform of 1901. Despite its age and use in a school setting, the poster is in generally good condition, with signs of wear on the edges and a central fold mark. The title is partially obscured by the top strip, likely due to a repair. A partial label on the back indicates "Bi, " probably for "biology." This poster will become a focal point in its new home and will delight botanists, gastronomes, and wine enthusiasts! Dimensions: Height: 58 cm, Length: 80 cm.
