Superb ceramic plate from Vallauris signed by Etienne Daniel, a discreet ceramist but now highly sought after by fans of French vintage. The decoration features his signature motif: a large stylised thistle in shades of pink-purple and green, outlined in relief on a speckled beige and brown background, with a beautiful depth of glaze. The work on the spiny leaves, the textured glaze, and the colours are typical of the production from the Vallauris workshops in the 60s and 70s. 20 cm in diameter.
