This rare and extravagant cocoon pendant from the 1960s is in good condition! With a diameter of approximately 53 cm and a height of about 40 cm, it is a statement piece that draws the eye. The cocoon emits a warm, diffused light. The beautiful pearl/silk patina indicates that this light fixture comes from a non-smoking environment. Please note: there is a small tear on the upper part of the cocoon, and a repair seems to have been attempted in the past. This is visible depending on the orientation of the cocoon. There are no signs of rust on the metal structure. Currently wired for a bulb and European voltage, it can be easily re-wired. Made in Germany by Goldkant Leuchten between the 1950s and 60s, this model is the precursor to the Italian cocoon lamps by FLOS. Ideal for a mid-century modern, modernist, or minimalist interior. Shipped with care.
