An elegant Louis XVI style writing desk with a drop front, dating from the 19th century, made of solid mahogany and mahogany veneer, finely highlighted with marquetry inlays. The drop front reveals a refined and well-structured interior, consisting of small drawers, niches, and a central fluted door, providing functional storage space. The piece is topped with a grey marble surface, adding elegance and contrast to the whole. The front features three large drawers adorned with finely chiselled gilt bronze, decorated with garlands and bows, characteristic of the Louis XVI style. The fluted columns, tapered legs ending in bronze sabots, and harmonious proportions highlight the quality of the craftsmanship.
