At the centre, an octagonal gül medallion, the emblem of the Turkmen people, surrounded by a tiered composition rhythmically accented with bold colours: vermilion red, cobalt blue, orange, moss green, and chocolate brown. The technique used is Aari embroidery, done with a crochet hook on an ecru cotton canvas. The pure wool gives the pattern a matte, textured, almost felt-like quality, which perfectly suits this type of tribal composition.
