A cushion cover entirely hand-embroidered by artisans from Kashmir, adorned with a Mughal floral motif, inspired by the gardens of Srinagar, which the Mughal emperors made the very image of paradise on earth in the 17th century. Saffron daisies, turquoise foliage, green chinar leaves, and an indigo border unfold against a deep raspberry red background. The embroidery is done using the traditional Aari technique, crocheted with dyed wool threads on an ecru cotton canvas. The relief is dense and luminous, almost sculptural; each cover requires several hours of manual work and bears the signature of its embroiderer. Placed on a linen sofa, a vintage rattan armchair, or a raw wood bed, this piece adds a vibrant textile accent that warms up a neutral decor. It fits well in a bohemian, Indo-chic, or maximalist setting, as well as providing a colourful counterpoint in a minimalist interior. Features: • Embroidery: 100% pure dyed wool, Aari technique (hand crochet) • Background fabric: 100% cotton canvas. • Concealed zip at the back. • Square shape. • Inner cushion not included. Colours: Raspberry red, saffron yellow, turquoise, soft green, off-white, indigo border. Dimensions: 40 X 40 cm. Origin: Handmade in Kashmir (India), a unique artisan piece. Condition: New, handmade. Slight variations in patterns or dye shades are the hallmark of craftsmanship and ensure the uniqueness of each piece. Care: Dry clean only. Available individually.
