Max Le Verrier (1891-1973) – Ashtray / pocket tray in gilded bronze, model "Bull – Antique Coin" no. 153-R, listed in the artist's Red Catalogue. Decor inspired by an ancient distater from Thurium, around 400 BC, depicting a bull and a fish under Greek inscription. Signed M. Le Verrier and marked BRONZE on the reverse. Beautiful old patina and slight signs of use. Diameter: 14 cm – weight: 352 g.
