Levantine Armoire in Mother-of-Pearl — Signed by Ahmed Jamil Sarsar, Dated 1890

Monumental three-door wardrobe entirely covered in mother-of-pearl marquetry, signed by its creator Ahmed Jamil Sarsar and dated 1890 (1308 AH). The Sarsar family workshop in Damascus did not survive the twentieth century, making signed works from this period extremely rare. Dimensions: 194 cm wide × 62 cm deep × 352 cm high. Three mirrored doors, with marquetry covering every surface from the crown to the floor without interruption. Exceptional condition: all original mother-of-pearl is intact, no losses, no restoration. The amber patina is consistent and authentic across the entire surface. A unique piece of exceptional rarity.
