Empty pocket cup signed H. Yildiz Türkiye Iznik

Pretty storage cup which will also make a pretty wall decoration, alone or in a collection, thanks to the fixing hole at the back. It is a hand-painted ceramic, whose floral motifs are very nicely colored and with an original drop shape. On the back we can read the signature h. Yildiz followed by another word that I can't decipher. The motifs are identical to those that I found on other ceramics presented as coming from the iznik region in turkey, old or less ancient. The city of iznik is recognized throughout the world for its tradition of quality ceramics with very rich, very colorful decoration. This artistic craft has been practiced there since the 15th century. This cup must date from the 70s or 80s, probably the work of a local craftsman, an artist given the quality of the drawing and the coloring. Perhaps a souvenir brought back from a trip to the region. It is in good condition, no cracks, no chips, just a little wear under the base and barely visible cracks on the enamel. It measures 17 cm by 18 cm with a height of 3 cm at the edge.
