Great African mask YAKA

Authentic vintage African mask attributed to the Yaka people of Congo, known as the Kholika Mask, is worn during circumcision and initiation ceremonies for young boys. With the characteristic features of Yaka Art, the conical headdress divided into three tiers, the upturned nose, and the arched eyebrows on a white kaolin base, this mask measures 93 cm in height, 25 cm in width, and 30 cm in depth. It is a work of art in its own right and will easily fit into a design, vintage, or contemporary interior thanks to the option to hang it on the wall. Dated 1980/1990, it has retained a beautiful polychromy. There are some signs of wear, but the overall condition is very good.
