Elegant guéridon in the Napoléon III style, dating from the late 19th century, perfectly illustrating the eclectic and refined taste of this period. It rests on four curved legs made of precious wood (mahogany), richly adorned with finely chiseled gilt bronze mounts and feet, decorated with foliage and rocaille scrolls. The uprights are highlighted with gilt fillets, adding great finesse to the whole. The undulating apron, with its curved lines, is abundantly decorated with applied gilt bronzes featuring floral and rocaille motifs, typical of the Napoléon III decorative repertoire. The ornamentation is harmonious and perfectly balanced on each side. The top, with a polylobed shape, is surmounted by a veined marble in shades of red, pink, and grey, encircled by an elegant gilt bronze gallery that perfectly follows the contours of the top. The whole piece is a testament to high-quality craftsmanship, both in the cabinetmaking and in the chiseling of the bronzes, characteristic of French production from the late 19th century. Attributed to Linke, Sormani, or Zwiener. Good condition.
