Teak desk with two wide drawers integrated into the front and a linear black painted metal base. European production, 1960s. Made in Europe in the 1960s, this writing desk combines a rigorously rectangular teak case with an open base in black painted metal. The two drawers extend across the entire front and are designed without applied handles, preserving the continuity of the surfaces and the formal clarity of the piece. The top is finished with bevelled edges that visually reduce its thickness. The metal structure is composed of square-section profiles, with vertical supports joined by a lower stretcher and trapezoidal bases. Beneath the body of the desk, shaped metal elements connect the base to the case. The warm tone of the teak and the black metal thus define two visually distinct yet closely integrated elements, reflecting a design language characteristic of European modernism of the 1960s. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG166.
