Vintage bentwood extendable coffee table by Drevopodnik Holesov, 70's

Extendable coffee table designed by Drepovodnik Holesov. Its clean, minimalist lines are representative of 1970s Czechoslovakian design. The sturdy top rests on a thin, curved wooden base shaped like an inverted T. When extended, the table measures 170 cm, thanks to a 45 cm extension leaf hidden beneath the top and a so-called "butterfly" system. Crafted entirely from solid beech, the designer plays on the alternating grain of the top to create a slightly striped effect that varies depending on the light. In perfect condition, a sound investment, robust and stylish, timeless.
