Swedish wall mirror model “S 122”, designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson with decoration by Lisa Jakobsson in the 1950s. Ivory-painted wooden frame, featuring a floral motif in shades of pink and red following the shaped outline of the mirror. Produced by Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB and marked on the back with the original “Nr 122 – Made in Sweden” label. Made in Sweden in the 1950s, the “S 122” mirror belongs to the early production of Hans-Agne Jakobsson and was a collaborative project with his wife Lisa Jakobsson, who created the distinctive painted decoration on the frame. The couple founded Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB together in 1951, and this model, documented in the company’s catalogue as early as 1952, reflects the more experimental beginnings of their work. The ivory-painted wooden frame surrounds a mirror with gently concave sides, while a sequence of pink and red floral and geometric motifs follows and emphasizes the outline of the reflective surface. The result brings together the rigor of Swedish design with a freer, more personal painterly element, making this collaboration between designer and painter particularly distinctive. The original Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB label is present on the back, marked “Nr 122” and “Made in Sweden”. Good condition. It may show signs of age. Please pay attention to the photographs. AG271
