This brass wall mirror features a slender, refined silhouette, dominated by a rounded arc reminiscent of oriental arches. An original work by Belgian artist Frankie d'Homborchveld, it was probably made in the 1980s. The artist, inspired by traditional copper techniques discovered among Berber artisans in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, transposed this expertise into a contemporary piece of great sobriety. The provenance is linked to the prestigious Brussels district of Fort Jaco. The back bears the handwritten inscription "Période 1333 Fort Jaco" and a presentation text, confirming a link with the Galerie du Fort-Jaco (1333 chaussée de Waterloo, Uccle), an emblematic place for the artistic and cultural life of the district. Hand-signed lower right, the mirror is entirely plated in brass on the reverse and equipped with two triangular attachments for immediate hanging. Condition: good overall condition, with micro-scratches and patina of use. There are slight cracks in the lower right and left corners, but these do not affect the overall strength or stability. Dimensions: 60 X 35 cm.
