English library staircase with three steps in mahogany, featuring integrated storage chests under a hinged lid step. Constructed from flame mahogany framed with recessed mouldings, resting on turned spool-shaped feet. The step surfaces are covered in patinated green-brown leather, with a heavily worn and darkened gold-stamped border. The interiors of the chests are made of secondary wood, with untreated backs. There is an old patina from use, with visible wear consistent with the age of the piece. Condition to be assessed: cleaning and leather treatment required. Dimensions: H. 65 cm – W. 66 cm.
