Orange Manade Lamp – Jean-René Talopp for SAMP Design – 1972

Vintage desk lamp Manade, designed by French designer Jean-René Talopp in 1972 and published by SAMP Design, French manufacturing. An iconic piece of Space Age design from the 1970s, this lamp stands out for its geometric lines, bright orange color, and retro-futuristic aesthetic. It consists of a rectangular reflector made of orange and black ABS plastic, with a reflective aluminum interior, mounted on a chrome steel rod and a weighted black L-shaped base. Its ingenious system allows for adjusting the height of the reflector and orienting it to adapt the lighting according to needs. Both functional and sculptural, this lamp is a beautiful piece of French industrial design from the 70s. It will fit perfectly on a desk, a console, or in a contemporary, vintage, or mid-century interior.
