Collector's item: Classic minimalist 1960s-1970s Leclaire & Schäfer piano lamp, signed Neheim, West Germany, model 5923/1. A simple Bauhaus-style desk lamp with a solid metal base and numerous adjustable positions. The rectangular lamp head is made of black lacquered sheet steel, perforated on top and fitted with a frosted glass diffuser on its underside, ensuring glare-free lighting. The lamp head is attached to the nickel arm by a ball joint. The arm is securely fixed to the stem and weighted base by a disc joint, offering great flexibility in positioning. The lamp has an E14 metal socket and is switched on and off via an in-line switch. Very robustly constructed, it is in good working order, with minor signs of wear. The diffuser is slightly deformed on the sides by heat (see photos). I therefore recommend using LED bulbs, which emit less heat (bulb included). A few traces of blue paint are visible under the power cord. Otherwise, it is in very good condition. Maximum height: approximately 40 cm, lampshade width: 20 cm, depth: approximately 30 cm, E14 metal socket (for candle bulbs, fluorescent tubes, or LEDs). An E14 to E12 adapter is included for use in the United States. Weight: 1770 g. Cord length: 140 cm.
